Mark started playing in 1966 at St Annes School in Bolton. Whilst at school,he played with the Smithhills School Band and regularly played with Bolton Borough Band now known as the Bolton(Hoover) Band. In 1972, Mark played with the newly formed Eaton Farnworth Band. He joined the Goodshaw Band in 1974 and has been the backbone of the band over the many years he has served with the Band. Mark is married to Gill on Baritone. They live in Goodshaw Fold.
