Helen started playing at the Montgomery High School in Blackpool .She played Flugel Horn and eventually was made Principle Cornet. At 15 she joined Poulton Le Fylde Band where she played Repiano Cornet and Flugel Horn. At 18 she attended Manchester Metropolitan University and gained a Degree in Biology. This year she has successfully gained a Masters Degree in Philosophy.

She joined the BMP Europe Goodshaw Band in June 2005 on cornet,then moved onto Flugel Horn and in June 2007 became our Principal Cornet. Helen married Mike on the 13th August 2006. Mike and Helen have been together for the past 8 years, they met whilst they where both playing with the Poulton Le Fylde Band.
